This condition is caused by fungi that create infection in your nails.</p>
<p>A person suffering from this condition has yellow or white spots under their nails. N this condition, the nails turn colors and they get thicker and it makes them flake and you experience pain.</p>
<p><strong>Causes of Nail Fungus – </strong></p>
<p>The contact of your skin with the fungus is the root cause of this condition. There are many ways through which you can get infected. The toe nail fungus loves the dark and the damp areas and they strive there and body has plenty of these kinds of areas like the crevices of the finger and toe nails. The fungus fits in there when there is moisture.</p>
<p>Then, walking bare foot in the public places also causes the toe nail fungus infection. The public places are infected and you can get fungus easily. When a person shares a public toilet, bathroom, swimming pool, and shower, then they increase their chances of getting infected. The fungi from these places get transferred in your body very easily.</p>
<p>Apart from the widely known ‘Dermatophytes’ fungi, another fungi that is found in the soil and decaying plant materials is also responsible for toe nail fungus infection.</p>
<p>A poor immune system can also lead to this condition. People suffering from diabetics, AIDS, organ transplant recipients are prone to the nail fungus. Then, people who take drugs are also likely to get infected with the toe nail fungus.</p>

<p><strong>Toe Nail Fungus Treatment &#8211; </strong></p>
<p>There a many ways to treat this condition.</p>
<p>Vinegar works well for treating this fungal infection. Take Luke warm water and apple vinegar in the 50:50 proportions and apply it on the infected area. Soak for approximately 20 minutes twice a day. Repeat it daily till you see the symptoms disappearing.</p>
<p>Tea Tree Oil is really useful for this fungus. This is very powerful oil and it works for the fungal infection treatment. Apply this common antiseptic oil twice over the infected area daily at least twice.</p>
<p>Apply alcohol on the affected area daily for 2 – 3 times.</p>
<p>Applying mouth wash is also good for this condition. You can sue Listerine &#8211; soak the affected area daily for 20 minutes.</p>
<p>Avoid sharing the nail clippers, sandals etc. with others for avoiding the fungal contamination.</p>
