Hi and welcome to my Nail & Toe Nail Fungus Blog.

My name is June Holland and i was a nail fungus sufferer for several years.

Last year, i decided to start this blog after realizing just how widespead this disease was. The purpose of this website is to educate and provide information about nail and toenail fungus disorders and to help my readers understand the importance of treating and curing nail fungus as quickly as possible.

The site has grown by leaps and bounds and I have received lots of valuable feedback from my readers so thank you.. The last time i checked, the site is getting well over 800 visitors a day which too me is valuable because it demonstrates that there is a need for more information. I hope i have provided that here.

Just a little about the site. At the top of every page i have listed a few links (Recommended Reading) material which I have presonally written. I hope you find these articles of some value.

As time permits, i continually update the site. If there is something you would like to see listed, that is not on the site, drop me an email.

Zetaclear & Fungisil

Many of my readers have found ZETACLEAR & FUNGISIL to be extremely helpful and more than 80% of my readers have found a complete cure. I have setup a feedback and review area on this site where you can go to to read about the latest cures that work. That link is here, Customer Rated & Reviewed Nail Fungus Cures.

A note about topical solutions in general. To effectively cure nail fungus using a natural topical solution, be sure that the solution reaches the nail bed, the bottom layer of the affected nail. Many people dont realize the importance of this. If the solution cant reach the nail bed, it doesnt matter which product you use, it simply wont work.

I talk about how to do this in another article. Its located here. In additional to following the product recommended you will need to THIN OUT THE NAIL!

Please look around and if you have any questions dont hesitate to contant me. Us the contact form link in the top navbar.

I value your opinions, posts and feedback. Thanks for visiting.

- June Holland

… And That Was Really Me, A Nail Fungus Sufferer

So, when a woman at my work mentioned that she was trying Lamasil for as a cure for her nail fungus through her doctor, I asked her to keep me posted on how it worked meanwhile, I just kept buffing out and painting over my yucky nail fungus (totally counter productive I know, but for vanity’s sake).

She ended her Lamasil treatment 6 months later with mixed feelings and my nail fungus started to spread to the second nail, making it thick and bumpy. Then her nail fungus came back completely, and with spring coming, I started researching options that didn’t require a prescription or could cause liver damage since her Lamasil experience didn’t seem worth it. I’ve tried them all.

I searched all over, including the Internet and found a cornucopia of treatments, home remedies and so called miracle solutions like Vicks Vapor rub, Oregano & Olive Oil wash etc. None of these things seemed to do anything for my nails and my nail except make them smell good.

My Toe Nail Fungus Looked Something Like This

Start Your Nail Fungus Cure Naturally

Finally, based on a recommendation from my mother, I tried the (*Amoresse Thymol and Zetaclear), this one is the best. The Thymol is supposed to go under the nail only, but I keep mine so short that I don’t feel like it was working well enough (just my opinion). I purchased Zetaclear and shared it with the women at work and after almost a month of daily use, we were ready to start the second bottle. My nails were starting to clear at the base and there was no more spreading to the smaller nails and the women at work, well her condition finally healed completely, although it took her longer to see results because her condition was a bit more serious. Here is some informaton i reseached from the Zetaclear web site. Zetaclear also treats the following conditions:

Thick nails or toenails.

Yellow, green, brownish, spotted white nails and toe nails.

Deformed looking, chipping, breaking nails and toe nails.

Crusty, scaley and peeling nails and toenails.

Smelly nails on hands or feet.

Off color, no luster, no gleam or shine to your finger nails or toe nails. etc …

Why i continue to use Zetaclear weekly. I purchased the buy 4 bottles and get 2 free. I continue to use Zetaclear because I swim alot. I know that sounds strange, but it keeps my toenails clear and I want to make sure all my toenail fungus is gone before I stop using it.

Many People Have Asked Me, Is This Stuff Only For Toenails? Absolutely not! Its a complete nail solution. If you have fungus nails on the hands then this topical works just the same! It can’t tell the difference between toenail fungus or fungus on the finger nails. LOL!

Where can I buy Zetaclear? I don’t think you can buy Zetaclear from a pharmacy. I purchased mine directly from their website.

Their website is at: http://www.zetaclear.com/

June Holland asked:

Million of Americans suffer from toenail fungus. Toenail fungus causes the nails to get thick and change color. Occasionally, they look crusty and bumpy, and at times, dark-green, yellow or brownish in appearance. The nails can curve inward at the sides and thicken considerably. A lot of times, the nails can feel painful and result in ingrown toenails.

What effective treatment options are available?

There are a number of treatments for onychomycosis. Forget about all those home remedy cures you find on the Internet. Most of them don’t work and leads to frustration without results. Your main goal should be to treat toenail fungus as soon as possible so it doesn’t spread to other nails and other people. Yes, toenail fungus is contagious so be careful. If your condition is serious do seek medical advice but also be aware that prescription drugs have side effects, effects that even the medical professionals don’t have complete answers too, or don’t want to tell you about. Prescriptions are very expensive and may require a long term treatment that is enough to break anyone’s bank account especially if your don’t have medication insurance.

Diabetics, and those with a low immune systems have a greater chance of contracting a toenail fungus infection. Other people, such as the elderly, have an increased risk of getting toenail fungus. The risk of getting a toenail fungus infection increments with old age. Athletes, hikers, runners, backpackers, soccer, basketball and tennis players. Fungus matures and flourishes in warm moist areas such as closed toed shoes and non breathable clothing such as socks. There is an increases chance of infection for those with excessive sweating of their feet, known as hyperhidrosis.

Other treatments to consider of course are topical treatments that have been shown to be highly effective and of course, safer than prescriptions. They are also very affordable which saves you allot of money especially if you cant really afford it or have no medical insurance. A safe topical should consist of only natural ingredients and should be easy to apply. Whatever product you decided on, make sure that you follow the instructions. If the product states that you should use it 3 times per week then make sure you do exactly that otherwise you may not see the results your expecting. Many people buy a product but don’t follow the recommended application then they wonder why its not working as well as it should.

If you have medication insurance and your a diabetic, your insurance company may consider onychomycosis a medical condition, and will cover the treatment. Other medical insurance package may also cover treatment so be sure to ask before you seek treatment.

The most important thing to remember is to start your treatment as soon as possible. Don’t wait until your condition is so bad you have to see a doctor. Nail fungus is treatable outside of a doctors office as long as you seek treatment sooner rather than later.

Hopefully i have covered the things you should do here to treat your toenail fungus.

To your success.

Paul Kysley asked:

Over 30 million people worldwide suffer from some sort of nail or toenail fungus and millions more are searching for a nail and toenail fungus cure that really works. The statistics are alarming to say the least. Nail and toenail fungus can be as suttle as a yellowing or discoloring of the nail or toenail and as serious as the complete loss of, deformity of one or more nails on the hands, feet or both. Not too mention, if left unattended, the infection can be excruciatingly painful that could result in a visit to a doctor.

Caught early however, those who suffer a mild case of nail or toenail fungus infections can treat the affected condition using a natural topical solution. Those suffering with nail or toenail fungus may not see their condition extend beyond a mild case, in some cases, people have reported having the condition for more than 10yrs without it becoming too serious. Other people have reported that their condition is nothing more than an ugly discoloration of the nail or toenail, more of the nuisance than anything,

No matter how serious your case may be, it is usually accompanied by discoloring of the nail, crusty and bumpy in appearance and a discharge of a smelly odor, especially on the feet. Toenail fungus usually spreads from one nail to another and may be passed on to others, friends, family members etc, so it’s not something that should be ignored.

There are many so called miracle cures and home remedies available and this information is readily available all over the Internet. Don’t be fooled into thinking that any of the home treatments work because most of the time they don’t and you will be very disappointed in the end when you see no results.

Taking the time to educate yourself is one of the best steps you can take in finding a cure. No two cures are alike, what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another but the important thing is to start your treatment early and not later. Nail or toenail fungus is very curable, but it takes allot of time and patience to completely eliminate. Don’t start a treatment then decide not to follow though.. Doing so will spell failure and you will be very disappointed once again thinking that your treatment failed when in fact you did not take the time to apply a topical as directed. There are no overnight cures and you may not even see results in 2 week or even 4. Patience is a virtue in this case.

Should i consult my doctor? The answer to that question is quite obvious. If your having trouble walking, unable to put your shoes on, as is the case with a toenail fungus infection or your condition seems serious, by all means do so. Be aware however that you may be placed on a medication such as Limasil which incidentally has been linked to liver damage and other unknown causes. This alone is enough to scare many people. The adverse affects of fungal mediation is still very unclear and many would much rather deal with their condition without a prescription then to actually start one. Limasil and other prescription treatments can take upwards of 6 months and cost thousands of dollars. Even then, there are no guarantees

and your condition could recur. The other problem being, millions of people have no health insurance. Recently, those statistics show that over 26 million Americans alone have no insurance whatsoever. No insurance means expensive treatments, treatments that many people can’t afford.

So what are the alternatives to prescription drugs? Well, a good topical that contains all naturals herbs, oils and vitamins can usually clear up the affected area but it does take time, usually 2 to 3 months, and can take even longer. As the fungus dies the new nail begins to appear and we all know how slowly nails grow. As the new nail appears it will look smooth and disease free. Treatment should continue until the entire nail has been replaced with the new nail.

One of the misconceptions about a nail and toenail fungus is that it can’t be spread from one person to another. Actually, that is not the case. It is very easy to get a nail fungus infection and it’s common among those who have sweaty feet, share bathrooms, swimming pools, showers and locker rooms. Also people who do a lot of standing and are on their feet frequently, as in the case of runners, athletes and dancers are prone to infection. Individual who have a history of athlete’s foot, have manicure and pedicure in places where dirty nail files and in use or where unsanitary conditions exists, e.g. salons. These types of places are perfect mediums to harbor fungus spores. Senior citizens, who are about sixty five years old and above and people who have diabetes and other forms of circulatory diseases are also prone to all types of nail fungus.

Toenail fungus cure: What ever treatment you choose, make sure that it includes natural ingredients such as Tree Tea Oils and vitamin E. Other ingredients such as Clove oil and Lemon grass oil add soothing relief. When searching for a treatment, be sure that your product contains two or more of these ingredients on the label. And most importantly, don’t skip on your application. If the label says apply 3 times a day then make sure you do so.

Important nail and toenail fungus tips:

1) Try wearing natural cotton socks. It allows the feet to breathe.

2) Do not share towels or wash cloths with others; you may spread or collect spores.

3) Wear breathable shoes if you’re on your feet allot.

4) Ladies, do not use nail polish to hide your discolored toenails. Do not use nail polish until the disease is completely gone.

5) File the infected nail thin so that a local topical can penetrate the nail more effectively.

6) Caution in Gyms, wear flip flops in showers and always wear protective footwear when walking around in locker rooms, even while showering where many other do.

7) Reduce your intake of sugary foods. Some people suggest reducing sugar consumption which will make your body less capable of hosting fungi.

Nail fungus infects toenails and fingernails. It makes nails thicker, changes their color and makes them look ugly in appearance. Knowledge of preventing nail fungus to grow and spread can minimize chances of getting it and keep up the health of your nails. Here are some things that you can do and avoid doing that are concerned with nail fungus prevention.

Nail fungus prevention tips:

Here are just a few nail fungus prevention tips that you can follow to reduce the changes of catching or spreading nail fungus.

1) Avoid wearing shoes that are too tight in fitting and also don’t wear them for long periods, it can cause your feet to sweat providing ideal conditions for the growth of nail fungus. You should also avoid wearing gloves for long durations of time especially during hot and humid conditions. You should try to keep your hands and feet clean and dry.

2) You should avoid borrowing nail cutters, scissors, nail fillers and other such tools from others that may be infected with nail fungus and can cause the infection to grow and spread. You should also keep your nail cutter and filler clean.

Always keep your nails clean and dry and let them breathe in fresh air.

It is important to understand that once your nail gets infected, nail fungus can spread to other nails too. You can treat the nail fungus infection by yourself or you can approach a doctor for its treatment. Use of some medicines that are available over the counter, can cause certain side effects especially for those who are already suffering from liver diseases and can also stimulate an allergic reaction because of some harmful chemicals they may contain. In most of the cases, nail fungus can be naturally cured using an all natural topical such as Zetaclear. They are the preferred by many as they are non toxic and safe.

3) It is also very important to understand that only 75% of infections caused by nail fungus can be cured and it is not guaranteed that the infection can’t occur again. As a matter of fact, there is a great chance that they might reoccur. Nail Fungus is a lasting sort of infection. Therefore it is important that you continue the use of an anti-fungal treatment. This will help you to prevent it from reoccurring.

A thick nail or toe nail is usually a result of an injury of the nail and damage to the nail bed. The nail will continue to thicken, even start to distort as it continues to thicken. Sometimes, it will curl on either side resulting is an ingrown nail and pain when the nail is pressed.

But many times, if your nail is discolored and or yellow, white, crusty looking or green, this may be the sign of nail fungus instead of a just a thick toenail from an injury. The worst thing you can do is too ignore it. The best thing to start doing is to take immediate action to fix the problem. The longer you wait, the worst off your nails

HOW TO TREAT A THICK NAIL:

The first thing you want to do to fix the problem is to thin out the nail as much as possible.

Start by taking a nice bath or soak your nails for at least 20min in warm water to soften them.

Trim the lengh of the nail as much as possible with a pair of scissors.

Get a nail file, and start filing down the thickness of the nail. The idea is too get the nail as thin as possible and there is a reason for this.

Apply an all natural topical solution such as Zetaclear, which I recommend to anyone starting to see signs of toenail fungus and or thick toenails. The idea of thinning the nail is to ensure that the topical solution penetrate though the nail layers to the root cause. If your nail is to thick, the treatment won’t be as effective because nothing can get too the fungus.

Zetaclear is currently offering a discount. Buy 1 bottle get a bottle free. Do yourself a favour. Start now instead of later. The later you wait the longer the condition will take to clear up. That’s a guarantee. Recently i received an email from a women who’s had her condition for 10yrs. There is even hope for her.
